Organic farming
Horta is a young farm located in the territory of Tuscia Viterbese, between the Municipality of Bagnoregio, the Municipality of Castiglione in Teverina and Civitella d’Agliano.
Horta continues a family tradition of farming for many generations.
Respect for the land and its balance is a fundamental resource for our health and the well-being of all organisms that inhabit it; it is the farmer’s job to protect the land and its ecosystem and to ensure healthy and wholesome food.
Visit our territory, rich in history and traditions, our homeland of Saints and Literati, our food made of ancient genuine flavors of the earth, our extra virgin olive oil, our wine, our truffles… and much more.
In the changing seasons, the earth tells the stories of wind, rain, stones and roots, and the true farmer is the one who knows how to listen to them.

Our products
Extra virgin olive oil
The olive grove covers about three hectares . The plants are of the Leccino variety. The extra virgin olive oil, dense and delicate, is obtained by manual harvesting, cold extracted by mechanical pressing in order not to cause alterations; the pressing of the olives is done on the same day of the harvest.
Wine grapes doc and igp lazio
The vineyard is located in the locality Vaiano, in the municipality of Castiglione in Teverina, are 4 hectares of doc and igp wine grapes.
Beekeeping
Beekeeping in addition to the products of the hive, honey, beeswax, propolis, royal jelly, plays a fundamental role in pollination and thus in the healthy and natural development of all crops
Cereals
The extent of about 77 hectares in total, flat, well exposed and rich in water, allow for easy and fruitful cultivation.
