Horta is a young company that continues the agricultural work passed down for generations in the family. Deeply attached to the land, its culture and tradition, Horta wants to create a farm that is innovative, sustainable and attentive to the land’s ecosystem.

Our oil
Extra-virgin olive oil from leccino and maurino trees in the Bagnoregio area, from raio and moraiolo trees in the Vaiano area, obtained by hand-harvesting, extracted from healthy olives and cold-pressed on the day of the same harvest.
Our honey
Our honey is cold extracted to keep its beneficial properties intact. The beehives are located in sheltered locations and close to pristine forests.
Cereals
The farm is located on about 77 hectares of flat land, well exposed and sheltered from the winds, where crops are alternated with respect for the land and its characteristics, guaranteeing quality products.
Doc and igp wine grapes
The vineyard is spread over about 4 hectares in the Vaiano locality in the municipality of Castiglione in Teverina, cultivated organically, like all the rest of the estate
Sustainable agriculture: our goal
For sustainable agriculture (also referred to as eco-friendly or integrated) means compliance with sustainability criteria in agricultural and agribusiness production by giving priority to those natural processes that allow for the preservation of the environment. Sustainable agriculture, in addition to producing food and other agricultural products, is environmentally friendly, socially just, and contributes to improving the quality of life of both farmers and society as a whole. Sustainable agriculture pursues the following objectives: fair income for the farmer, protection of the health of the farm worker and the consumer, preservation of soil fertility over time, and preservation of environmental resources over time.
